Thank you for your interest in the Queer Social Tie-Dye Party! We are delighted to be partnering with Durango Queermunity, PettyOne Productions, and Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains (PPRM) to bring you this very special event.

Join us at EsoTerra Ciderworks' patio (588 Main Ave, Durango), from 6-8pm on June 21st, 2024 for a vibrant Queer Social Tie-Dye Party! Give your own wardrobe a colorful refresh while making memories with friends!

Please read the following carefully, and feel free to reach out to "Give it a Try!" Tie-Dye with any inquiries about this event.

At this event, we’ll show you how to tie and dye a traditional “spiral” design, with the six colors of the rainbow pride flag, as well as teach you how to wash out and maintain your one-of-a-kind item. Then you’ll be free to express your creativity, while we offer one-on-one guidance as needed. After the workshop, you’ll take the item home to wash out. Find our washing instructions here (printed copies are available on request).

BE AWARE- the dyes WILL STAIN, so please wear your “art clothes,” i.e., old clothing and shoes that can get messy. You’ll be provided gloves and disposable tie-back aprons, but accidents can happen.

At this event, you can opt to bring-your-own-garment to dye (“BYOG”),

BUT the item must pre-washed, and contain 85% or more plant fiber (like cotton, bamboo, or hemp) to ensure the fabric will absorb the dye and remain vibrant. We also recommend WHITE fabric, to best showcase the colors.

Synthetic materials such as polyester or protein based fibers like wool or silk WILL NOT work with our dyes.

If you don’t have an item from your wardrobe to dye, we offer the "blank tee" option, providing a 100% cotton short-sleeved tee (adult size S-2XL) for an additional fee. These tees RUN SMALL, so we recommend to size up. We’ll bring extras, just in case.

If you're interested in a different size, please contact us before submitting payment.

We can only guarantee enough dye for one item per person, but if there is dye left over, you’re welcome to dye additional BYOG items.

To help make this event available to everyone, and through a gracious donation from Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains, we are happy to announce we are offering four complimentary (free) entries for this event. If you or someone you know would like to participate but cannot due to financial reasons, please reach out to “Give it a Try!” Tie-Dye Co directly here or through our social media channels.
